• Be All In – when Jesus called the disciples, He did not explain how everything was going to unfold, what they would witness, and what He would ask of them. He simply invited them to follow Him. Once they committed to following Him, it was then that they saw the next step, and the next step, and the next step. So the first step in discernment is to commit to following Jesus, regardless of where He is leading you. Once you decide to give your life to Him, the next steps start to unfold.
  • Pray (especially in front of the Blessed Sacrament) – you can’t know what God is asking of you if you do not actually speak with Him! Daily prayer is essential to knowing what the Lord is asking of you. So pray!
  • Frequent the Sacraments – through the sacraments, we grow closer to God and receive the strength to follow Him. Don’t underestimate the power that frequent reception of Holy Communion and Reconciliation can have on your life.
  • Go to Mary – no one follows the Lord as closely and entirely as the Blessed Mother. She is an incredible Mother, guide, and model for us in conforming our life to the Lord. Rely on Mary, she will always lead you to Jesus.
